I do not know anything with regard to the Kokulai Buddhust temple

Reginald Coory, the Northern Provincial Governor, stated that he does not know anything about the Buddhist temple which is being illegally set up at Kokulai in Mullaitivu district.

Press meeting at which announcement with regard to the Vesak Celebration in Northern Province was supposed to be announced held yesterday evening at Northern Provincial Governor's office.
Following are stated while commenting at the press meeting;
We are planning to celebrate the Vesak Day celebration in all districts in Northern Province.
In prior to the Vesak Day, it is intended to set up the massive luminous shells, visualize the Buddha's teachings and give donations to the economically under privileged students in all the districts in Northern Province.
In addition, we decided to bring from South to see these celebrations to be held in Northern Province. May the light beams come from the luminous shells be for Peace and Reconciliation.
You attempt to light up the light for Peace and Reconciliation while Buddhist temple is being illegally set up at the Tamils’ lands which were appropriated in Kokulai, one of the journalists questioned during this meeting. How would the reconciliation be possible if the activities like these are being taken place, he further questioned.
Responding to the question asked by this particular journalist, he stated that he does not know anything regarding this and he added that he would answer for this after carrying out the investigation in this regard.
People are expressing their strong opposition against the Buddhist temple which is being illegally set up at Kokulai.
It is notable that T.Ravikaran stated that issue of illegally setting up the Buddhist temple at Kokulai should be brought to the attention of the President as the activities of setting up this Buddhist temple is still being continued despite the interim injunction for this was ordered by the officials of Land Ministry.
