JVP has urged for an internal investigation as to whether former Defence Secretary Gottabaya Rajapakshe is in the backdrop of the alleged murder of LTTE leader Prabhakaran and journalist Lasantha Wickramadunga.The JVP general secretary Tilwin Silva made this remarks while commenting on the recent utterance of former field marshal Sarath Fonseka over the mysterious ending of the war.
“The recent statements of Sarath Fonseka over the final stage of war seem to be different from what we heard before. His claims over the alleged murder of Prabhakaran, Pottu Amman and Lasantha Wickramadunga are astonishing. Similarly the alleged war crimes taken place during the last few days should also be investigated”, he said.
