Northern Province Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran said it was a big question if the foreign assistance received by the government reach the affected people.
He made these remarks addressing a seminar in Mannar on Tuesday (May 24).
Mr. Wigneswaran stated that foreign countries as well as Non Governmental Organizations (NGO) carry out many projects of which some assist the people and others are not support the people.
He noted that some of the projects, through which neither people nor the province get benefitted, are being carried out because of some who make them for their benefits.
The CM further added that the government should consider the needs of people and what they are in need of, especially counselling guidance.
