Ministry of Justice has carried out measures to appoint a Special Reconciliation Council to solve the problems related to land and property of war-affected people in the North.
These measures are implemented by Reconciliation Council of Ministry of Justice, Government Information Department said in a statement.
The process to identifying the people who lost their lands and property during the war period in the North is carried out by the Reconciliation Council, it is learnt.
Meanwhile, it is pointed out that, a special act to handover the lands and other property to its owners was submitted in Parliament recently.
