SL Resettlement Ministry twists figures on lands seized by Sinhala military in North

The SL Ministry of Resettlement, which has become a money laundering agent transferring foreign aid intended for resettlement to the consolidation of Sinhala militarisation in the occupied country of Eezham Tamils, twisted the figures of military-held lands in the Northern Province. The SL Ministry was manipulating the number as 11,528 acres, a District Secretary told TamilNet on condition of anonymity. The figure is only 18% of the total military occupied lands as registered by the provincial authorities, the source further commented.

The occupying military of genocidal Sri Lanka has seized 64,000 acres of private and public lands that should come under the domain of the Northern Provincial Council, according to the figures of the NPC.

The SL Resettlement Ministry has only taken note of a section of private lands that the military admits as lands belonging to people. The SL military seeking funds to consolidate its positions in the North is trying to trade release of these lands with foreign aid coming through the SL ministry.

The occupying military is stationed in 4599 acres in Jaffna district, 2391 acres in Mannaar, 1872 acres in Vavuniyaa, 1500 acres in Ki'linochchi and 1150 acres in Mullaiththeevu.

These figures do not include the private lands the SL military has seized from the people through coercion.

The figures also do not include the farmlands under the military.

The SL military is also in control of the lands that have been seized by the SL Forest and Wildlife Conservation Department.

The District Secretaries (Government Agents) didn't react against the twisted figures as they are under strict instruction to collaborate with the plans of occupying Colombo. Otherwise, they risk losing their jobs, the source further said.
