If the Military Camps are Removed From the North, then We Will work Together with the Government: Wigneswaran

The Northern Province Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran said, “If the Military Camps from the Northern Province are Removed in stage by stage, then we will work together with the Government”.

According to a Sinhala medium’s today’s news, With regard to this removal of army camps and removal military bases in stages a request has been made and put forth with the government. The Sinhala medium news further states, that the Northern Provincial Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran also said, “If the Government gives its fullest commitment and assurance to evacuate the army camps from the North, from that day onwards, we are prepared to work together with the government to extend all our cooperative support to the Government. Because according to the Election Manifestoes of the Tamil National Alliance, it has been assured to the people of the North that army camps will be withdrawn from the Northern Province. Due to this, the People of the Northern Province are expecting and waiting patiently for the removal of the military camps from the North with much greater expectation”.
