The second session of the Tamil People’s Council is currently underway in Jaffna (Dec.27).
According to our regional reporter, the meeting has been organized in the public library of Jaffna. And the co-chair of the Council C.V.Vigneswaran, TNA parliamentarian T.Sitharthan, TNPF leader Kajenthirakumar Ponnampalam have already made their arrival.
In the meeting, sub committees will be appointed to draft a plan for political solution and to monitor the investigation mechanism to be conducted by the government in accordance with the resolution executed in the UN Human Rights Council.
Sub committees will also be appointed for politics, education, health, social and economic development, agriculture, fishing, rehabilitation, art and culture.
