President says no to Prime Minister post

Head of state president Maithripala Sirisena announced that he is not interested to contest for the post of Prime Minister.

President made this announcement while at weekly cabinet meeting yesterday. Speaking at the meeting president went on to say, Hereafter I will never contest for the post of president and will serve as president only at once. I’m always dedicated my life to fulfill promises made to people of this country, president said.
