Wigi calls Samantha to withdraw army from North

Chief Minister of the Northern Province C.W.Wigneswaran called upon the US permanent representative to United Nation Samantha Power to take necessary steps to reduce military presence in the Northern Province.

This request was made during the meeting between Northern CM and US envoy last morning. At the meeting CM noted in the 2016 budget large amount of money allocated to national security. (2nd Lead) CM also noted since the appointment on new regime less development programmes introduced to Northern Province. They always delayed to introduce development programmes to Northern People. US President Barak Obama much more concern over Tamils residing in the Northern Province. Today our mother land as turned into democratic nation and US also decided to grant all support towards SriLanka. Central government officials always delay to introduce development programmes to Tamils area, but Tamils are not like that they always fish work on time. Military personals have grab lands belongs to Tamils residing in the North and Eastern Parts of the island and also they have strongly influencing in our livelihood activities. Large sum of fund allocated to defence in the 2016 budget proposal. They could allocate this fund for the development of Tamil people.
