Minister of Public Order, Christian Affairs and Land, Mr. John Amaratunga stated that some lands would not be released due to security reasons.The displaced people who have the deeds of their lands would be resettled in their own places, he said in a media conference held in the Ministry of Lands on Monday (March 14).
He further added that deeds were issued in various categories in the past, which do not allow to transfer the lands to their children or to build high rise buildings, adding, the Prime Minister had formed a committee to sort this issue out.
