The mother of Jeromi Kasipillai who is said to have been abducted by unknown group of youth in military uniform has requested the Presidential Commission for Inquiry on Missing Persons on Wednesday (March 30) to reveal the truth of her daughter’s situation.
The hearing of the Commission has been held at the Divisional Secretariat in Vavuniya. The mother, Mrs.Vanaja Kasipillai, stated that her daughter appeared on the posters with President Maithripala Sirisena during the presidential propaganda.
When I produced the picture to the President in Jaffna, he confused and said he could not say anything about the missing persons and promised to inform after investigating into the matter.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Commission, Maxwell Paranagama collected the photos and other documents from the mother and vowed to hand over to the committee which is to be led by a retired justice to investigate into the matters of missing persons.
