The residents of Keppapulavu, who stage demonstrations for the release of their lands from military forces alleged on Tuesday (April 11) that the political representatives of the people have had failed to strengthened their protests. They have called on the parliamentarians and provincial council members including the R. Sampanthan, the Leader of the Tamil national Alliance (TNA) who represent the Tamil people of North to give up their portfolios and join them in their protests if they are unable to act to solve the prevailing issues of the Tamil people. Wanni district Tamil leaders including parliamentarian Sivashakthi Ananthan, provincial council members Ravikaran, Sivanesn met with the protesters on Tuesday and discussed over the land crisis. They call for the release of their traditional lands and not the government lands for resettlements.
