Minister, Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka stated that Mahinda Rajapaksa and Gotabaya Rajapaksa were behind the murders which took place during their time of regime including the murder of Lasantha Wickramatunga and the assassination of former TNA Jaffna District parliamentarian Nadarajah Raviraj. At a news conference in Colombo on Thursday a reporter raised a question that Fonseka said to be in connection with the murder of Lasantha, Mr.Fonseka replied that Lasantha did not turn against him but Rajapaksas were behind the murders which were covered up by them since they had the power in every field during that time.
